Philadelphia Eagles take part in 6th annual Huddle Up for Autism event – w/video

Philadelphia – The 6th annual Huddle Up for Autism event took place on Sunday 26 April at Lincoln Financial Field. The event helped to raise funds for The Center for Autism Research at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).

The event was presented by the Philadelphia Eagles, who support The Center for Autism Research (CAR) with their ongoing autism research, that help those families who are affected by autism.

Proceeds raised from the event will help to support CAR, based at CHOP.

Jackie Jackson’s 5-year-old son Chase, who has autism, was diagnosed at the age of 18 months.  She told New

“I knew when he was just a baby that he was autistic,” she said. “There was no eye contact, and if I held him, he would cry. If I laid him next to me, he was fine.”

Jackie and her husband have been raising funds for CAR since 2011 and this year have raised approx. $1,450 for CAR. This amount of fundraising allowed them into the VIP section at the event.
